Veneer wood flooring can be a fantastic alternative so a solid wood floor or a laminate. They are made up of a very thin layer of real wood that is then protected by either a lacquer or other protective surface to reduce the chance of wear on the real wood. Because the top layer of real wood veneer is so thin it is extremely important to make sure the protective layer is extremely hard wearing and also flexible.
